New Happy Garden in Murphy

We ate there and the food had a chemical taste to it. I spoke to the cashier when leaving and he asked was the taste floor cleaner, which was weird. We didn't pay and have been sick since we left. Stomach aches and not being able to hold food down. Beware!!

No thank you. Will not be back. Overcooked food. Tasteless. A few good things but not much. How do you even get chewy fortune cookies? Were they old?

Not the same since the new owners took over. Now it's just ok. I do enjoy the steak and cheese egg rolls though.

We love to eat here. The prices are reasonable and the food is always great! The employees are very friendly and professional.

I’d been warned but wanted to see for myself. I ordered from the menu thinking that might be better. Nope. The wonton soup was so salty I couldn’t eat it. The dumplings were not done or at least the one I tried. The crab ragoons didn’t taste like they had any crab at all in them . Fried rice had no flavor, how is that possible? The beef and broccoli were ok but not not worth eating. The place was nice and clean and the waiters seemed nice and helpful. They got the salty soup taken off my bill. I will never eat here again. I wanted to try So Good Kitchen across the street but they are not open on Monday. I really wanted this place to be good but it just wasn’t.

Food was salty, dry and overall unpalatable. Husband ended up with stomach issues after, which we attributed to some sort of shellfish dish (I have an allergy and thus avoided his 36+ hour sentence 😬) Will definitely not go back

Food was awful and had been sitting there for a long time it was cold and not good. Would not recommend.

It use to be good when the other people had it i would not let my dog eat there the chicken was not even cooked the food was cold. Just nasty it needs to be closed down are they need to get better. I dont know how they are still open to be honest

Very good if the buffet is fresh, but sometimes the food sits out too long.

Would have given it five stars but they moped the floor with a bucket of what smelled like... when my dog licks her junk. It was very bad ...food was great good service friendly staff. Cooter wax bad

OMG Totally aweful. I do not understand what is going on with Chinese restaurants everywhere bu they have gotten nasty over tbe last couple of years. Murphy, Blueridge, Ellijay, Hiram, Douglasville, Canton just to name a few.

I just moved to the area a few weeks ago and wanted to try them out cause I love Chinese food. Was a little disappointed. Had to much American food for a Chinese buffet I felt. Everything fried seemed over cooked. I could not even bite threw the chicken skewers. They where missing some, well what I think anyway, normal items like beef or chicken and broccoli, and honey chicken and beef and peppers. Most sauces where very bland. This was for lunch so might have to try at dinner to see if it's better. I will say the service was excellent though. The waiter had my table cleaned of any plates and had my drink refilled at all times. Very impressed with the service.

Do not come here during non busy times. I thought I have been to bad buffets but this is hands down the worst. Food either cold or dried out like the Sahara. I came at 430. I think they just kept all the lunch time food out for dinner u til they need to make more. I give them 2 stars because maybe they are decent during noon and dinner time. DO NOT come during anyother time for the love of God. Service was polite despite the fact that I feel I was indirectly poisoned.

Great variety of food. I enjoyed everything. I don't recall the item count on the buffet, yet everything you could ask for. I'd recommend.

Good food, a little pricey for dinner but good food

Large lunch buffet with a great variety. I had both Asian and American dishes and found them to be delicious. Priced right, not too crowded, no wait for a table and an attentive wait staff.

Did a takeout order - first time I had used this restaurant. Ordered beef fried rice and egg rolls, and was very disappointed. The beef tasted old or spoiled or both - gave it to the dog, who didn't seem to mind. Egg rolls were almost tasteless, and no sauce was included, which might have helped.Perhaps the in-house buffer is better, but I'll not chance it.

Good was great. Service friendly. Only Downer was livers had been in burner to long and was a little dry. They were about gone so they would be replaced soon anyway.

This was the worst buffet of any kind I have ever been to. There are two options to explain this..the cook either burnt everything before putting it out or the food sat on the buffet tables so long they dried out and burnt there. Either way it was completely inedible.

It was better then some may say . Fresh food was pit out when asked for.

Dont go here unless you have no other choice. If it is the last option just go hungry. Their Chinese food is nasty and cheaply made by people who cant tell a wanton from a eggroll and the "american" food comes from a dollar store box. 1 star is too many.

The food has improved since last dining. This time it had flavor.

They charged me dinner price instead of lunch. The food was cold and old. Some of the food was inedible. Please don't hesitate to to go there if you don't care about your health.

Mostly American food. A whole lot of it too. I was a bit disappointed (reason for 4 stars) that not much Oriental food choices.

Lots of food items to choose from, but the buffet runs out of items regularly as the cooking staff tries to keep up with the rush. Food quality is sub-par. Pork dumplings are the only thing I particularly like. Owners are very nice, wait staff are polite when refilling drinks but are not very considerate at all when you get up to refill your plate (they will practically run you over if you get in their way). We eat here maybe once a year out of a desire to see if it has gotten any better :(

This is my favorite restaurant of all time I went like a year ago and I still think about it I would drive from central Florida in a minute just to eat here once. The best place I've ever been to.

Food was great! I really enjoyed the vegetable chow mein in the menu. The hot and sour soup is hot but not so hot it will make you be sweaty. And the service was the best they checked on you and listened to you. Everything was fantastic I recommend this place to you.

Terrible! Very small buffet, seemed many of the options had been sitting out all day in the warmers. Not much flavor to what we did attempt to eat and after a few bites we close to leave and eat elsewhere. Dining room over all was very dirty and dusty. I truly believe if a food inspector walked in they would shut it down with numerous violations.

If you're ever in Murphy n.c. definitely eat here. Their food is delicious. They have any kind of food you desire... And the owner and staff are professional and very nice...

Is there a such thing as a no star review? This is the first restaurant I have eaten at in a long time that deserves zero stars.

Just passing through town and hungry for chinese food. Evening time was not a good time, all buffet food was old and not good at all. They have too much food to handle. Took 2 bites and left. Sorry for the honest review, but wont be back.

Very good buffet here with Asian and American food. The staff is the best and the prices are very fair!

Two stars because it was clean. The food was old and dried out. Another customer complained about no fresh food and the employees showed no concern whatsoever.

Worst food in Murphy. I've been visiting this place since it was in it's original letter cation over 20yrs ago. The food used to be really pretty decent in the days before the ownership changed. Since then....all downhill will h today being the last time I will ever visit this restaurant. I arrived pre-dinner switch over at 3:30. All the hot food on the buffet looked as if it had been there all day. Many items were horribly dried out and or just scraps in the tray. As far as taste, I enjoyed the flavor of nothing, to be completely honest. There is a smaller place downtown where the food is more limited, but always fresh. They will get 100% of my business from now on.

Always a great place to get Chinese and American food. Little bit of everything for everyone. Friday and Saturday night they always have the grill open with cook to order steaks! Family place. Great date night also!
